Day 1 TSODILO HILLS
This is one of Botswana’s World Heritage sites ,the sacred Tsodilo Hills were initially inhabited by the Basarwa who have left us a piece of history that we are proud to share with our visitors ,in the form of ingenious rock painting. A lot of these paintings are pictures of both wild and domestic animals. The only way to enjoy the Tsodilo Hills is by walking, and there are demarcated trails through the three hills(Tsodilo Hills are a long stretch of three hills known as Female, Male and Child Hills).Souvenirs (usually beautiful jewellery made from ostrich eggshells) can be purchased from the local inhabitants of Tsodilo.
Is located far enough away from the main road of Ghanzi to enjoy the real African bushveld. One will have couple number of activities to interact with the San/Bushman, and to discover how the San/Bushman survived in the Kalahari like Bushmen walks and dance.
The 52 800 km square CKGR, as it is fondly known, is situated in the heart of Botswana. The reserve is characterized by pans, valleys and open plains. It is well known for being home to different species of antelope and big cats. This is where you will do the village walks and the game drives.
Day 6&7 MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Large open spaces ….total nothingness…breathtaking African stars and a cluster of one of the world’s biggest in diameter…this pretty much sums up the beauty and uniqueness of both Makgadikgadi Pans and Nxai Pans. The Makgadikgadi Pans remain one of most serene places in Southern Africa, where one could actually pull out a mattress and sleep out in the open, being serenaded by the beauty of the African sky ,and the visually bright African stars.
Day 8 & 9 : NXAI PAN NATIONAL PARK
A sister to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, and located close by. It offers a spectacle that one has to witness… a cluster of the great baobab trees named Baines Baobab after the artist Thomas Banes. Activities to be enjoyed in the Pans are quad biking ,game drives, nature walks and birding.
Day 10: MAUN
Maun is the gateway to the Okavango Delta, is predominately a tourism-based, cosmopolitan town. One can enjoy the many activities like crocodile farm, cultural living, basket weaving, the Nhabe Museum, horse riding ,simply shopping spree at some of the most well stocked curio shops that sell Botswana produced wares. Not forgetting the wonderful scenic flight over the fascinating Okavango Delta.
